How the math works
6
calls missed per week
× 4.33
× $450
average job
× 50%
booking rate
= $5,846
a month walking out the door
4.33 is the number of weeks in an average month. The booking rate is the share of callers who would have booked if someone had picked up; about half do at a local business, and the industry average sits near 46%.
The number is conservative on purpose. It leaves out repeat work, referrals, and the review the caller would have left. It only counts the job that walked.
What your number means
Under $4,000 a month
About one job a week is walking out. $497 catches it and pays for itself the first time it books.
$4,000 to $12,000 a month
This is most owner-run shops. Six calls a week at a real ticket lands here, and the math stops being a rounding error.
Over $12,000 a month
You're missing more than the flat price covers. Bring the number to the call and we'll quote the bigger build.
Where the numbers come from
About 1 in 4 calls to a home service business goes unanswered (Invoca, 2024). Of the callers who reach voicemail, 8 in 10 call a competitor and 58% never leave a message (CallRail, 2025).
The calculator only counts the job that walked. It leaves out the repeat work, the referral, and the review that caller would have left, so the real number is higher than the one on your screen. Catching it costs $497 a month.
